Objectives of the Working group

  • Organization and coordination of work in the following areas:
  • Development and implementation of digital services as a feature to build competitive advantages of the railroad transport;
  • Automation of processes of interaction between the rail carrier and external participants of the transportation process, as well as with state control bodies;
  • Implementation of electronic document flow (legally relevant and technological) to minimize non-productive losses and eliminate time barriers at checkpoints in freight traffic.
  • Articulating initiatives to change and complement international laws and regulations in application of the electronic signature for international railroad waybills in China, recognition by the EU customs bodies of SMGS and CIM/SMGS electronic waybills.

Tasks of the Working group

  • Building the IT landscape of the single information space within international container transportation with end-to-end process, from planning to submission of the freight to the client.
  • Defining the list of current services and corresponding automated systems, highlighting the elements, functions and operations that are not yet covered by automation.
  • Ensuring targeted work in practical areas, that will be really effective for trading in European and Asian countries.

Key areas of Activity for the Working group

  • Development of paperless freight transportation in international traffic within implementation of CCTT Electronic Train Project.
  • Interaction with customs services.
  • Facilitating to implement the CCTT Safety and Electronic Seals Project.
  • Development of information interaction of railroads and sea ports.
  • Facilitating to match the digital services, operated by CCTT members, in a single information space of Trans-Eurasian transportation.
  • Building an open and neutral blockchain platform for transit container transportation.
