In conditions of "stable uncertainty", analytics and professional forecasting are the foundation for making management decisions that require fundamentally new approaches in the fields of transport and logistics.
To address this need, the CCTT Expert Scientific Council (ESC CCTT) — an advisory body — was established in 2021 on the CCTT platform, in accordance with the decision of the 30th Plenary Meeting. Within this body, analysis of global socio‑economic factors and development trends is carried out, as well as strategic forecasting of existing trends that affect global supply chains.
Key tasks of the ESC CCTT:
a) Conducting research and developing position papers for the CCTT at international events, in line with CCTT decisions, including upon the proposal of the CCTT Secretariat;
b) Developing and formulating scientifically grounded proposals on a wide range of issues related to the activities of the CCTT and its Secretariat; submitting forecast‑based, scientifically substantiated materials of interest to the CCTT to the Secretariat;
c) Carrying out a strategic review of global and regional transport trends affecting trans‑Eurasian transportation;
d) Assessing the prospects for transport market development, taking into account current trends and challenges;
e) Formulating initiatives in the field of trans‑Eurasian transport development for subsequent consideration by the CCTT Plenary Meeting;
f) Discussing scientific research, projects and initiatives related to the development of trans‑Eurasian transportation.
