The V anniversary International Forum «Transport Logistics of the Caspian Region» took place in Astrakhan. Organized by the Afanasy Nikitin Association in partnership with the CCTT, the event served as a key platform for discussing the development of the transport and logistics ecosystem of the Caspian macroregion and international transport corridors, including the North-South International Transport Corridor (ITC).

The V anniversary International Forum «Transport Logistics of the Caspian Region» took place in Astrakhan. Organized by the Afanasy Nikitin Association in partnership with the CCTT, the event served as a key platform for discussing the development of the transport and logistics ecosystem of the Caspian macroregion and international transport corridors, including the North-South International Transport Corridor (ITC).

The forum gathered representatives from Iran, India, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and other countries. Delegates discussed pressing issues related to the development of transport infrastructure and adaptation of logistics chains amid geopolitical uncertainties.

The development of anti-crisis strategies became the key focus of the business program. Natalia Stepanova, Deputy Secretary General of the CCTT, moderated the session dedicated to the economics of transportation along the North-South ITC and anti-crisis logistics strategies.

The session featured presentations on the following topics:

  • Trade potential between India and Russia
  • Analysis of the situation in Iran and Russian-Iranian trade
  • Bilateral port projects

Additionally, forum participants addressed a wide range of issues, including:

  • Port infrastructure modernization
  • Development of transport and logistics centers
  • Improvement of railway transportation
  • Cross-border payment issues
  • Digitalization of logistics procedures

The forum enabled participants to:
