A working meeting between CCTT and a delegation from Chongqing Monorail Transit Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CMR) took place in Moscow. The event was held as part of the activities of the CCTT Expert Scientific Council and brought together leading transport industry experts from Russia and representatives of the Chinese monorail systems manufacturer.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss prospects for joint practical cooperation in the field of advanced railway (tracked) transport technologies.

  • Experts from JSC Institute of Railway Transport Economics (IERT)
  • Experts from JSC Center for Infrastructure Economics
  • Representatives of VSM Dve Stolitsy LLC
  • Experts from Sinara Group

The experts focused on the following issues:

  • Exchange of experience in the design, construction, and operation of monorail transport systems
  • Analysis of technological solutions used in monorail transport and their adaptation to Russian conditions
  • Prospects for implementing CMR’s innovative developments in Russia
  • Opportunities for joint research and development activities
  • Potential for scaling monorail technologies to address urban mobility and interregional transportation challenges

The meeting participants emphasized the high level of expertise demonstrated by the Chinese side in the field of monorail technologies. They noted the relevance of studying international experience for developing modern rail systems in Russia.

Cooperation with CMR could open new opportunities for modernizing transport infrastructure and implementing advanced solutions that improve the efficiency and accessibility of passenger transportation. The parties plan to continue their interaction through additional consultations and the development of specific joint projects.
